| When I was searching for a fabricator in the Southwest, he was the only one that works with sheet metal oil pans. The others wouldn't take on a project for the Z32 well not for under $50K worth of work. So he is the only one in the west coast. I didn't know at the time that he was the one used by SZ. I wanted someone I can at least drive to in person and deal with in person. I tried to use an alternative fabricator but like I said there wasn't one at least not with my budget in the Southwest. He is an independent business doing work for who ever pays him. Greg doesn't have an exclusive relationship with him. My design is totally different that it doesn't infringe on Greg's oil pan design. I designed the outside so that it fits within the chassis of the Z32. The fabricator did his years of experience in racing pans on the inside of the pans with the gates and baffles. I took to the fabricator 2 months ago a mock up model of the exteriour dimensions for the pan. The fabricator followed that mock up model so there was no question of interference in fitment in the chassis as long as he followed that model. I believe this is where Greg's pan is having some fitment issues according to the fabricator. The design parameters that Greg has are very very tight. There have been several re-dos . I could have made my oil pan over 7 qts with my design parameters but I felt that was overkill. I have a lot of room to work with on my design.
